1.3 micron 24 karat gold foil is ideal for light-wear keum-boo jewelry applications. Keum-boo is an ancient Korean technique to bond high karat gold foil to fine silver with heat and pressure. This jewelry making process can be used on sterling silver if it is depleted first to elevate a thin layer of fine silver on the surface. 

Keum-boo foil contrasts beautifully with bright silver or blackened, oxidized silver. Take care during finishing and polishing to avoid damage to foil elements.
